Cobra Nearly Ripped Open by JCB Receives Life-Saving Surgery

Times of India · good-news

A five-foot-long cobra snake, nearly disembowelled by a JCB machine in Kamri village, Hisar, has been given a new lease on life. Veterinary surgeons at Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (LUVAS) successfully performed surgery to place its internal organs back inside and stitch the wound. The snake was administered local anaesthesia, medication, painkillers, and glucose. This marks another successful complex surgery for the university's veterinary team, which previously treated a cobra injured by an agricultural implement.
