Around 200 electric buses in Pune were taken off the roads on Thursday due to a strike by drivers over a Diwali bonus dispute. This sudden action led to the cancellation of approximately 800 to 900 bus trips, causing significant disruption for commuters. PMPML officials stated that one of the private contractors allegedly paid drivers a lower bonus than demanded, sparking the strike. Passengers faced long waits and had to find alternative transportation, particularly impacting those shopping for Diwali.

दिवाली बोनस को लेकर विवाद के कारण पुणे की लगभग 200 इलेक्ट्रिक बसों को गुरुवार को सड़कों से हटा लिया गया। इस अचानक कार्रवाई से करीब 800 से 900 बस ट्रिप रद्द हो गईं, जिससे यात्रियों को भारी परेशानी हुई। PMPML अधिकारियों ने बताया कि एक निजी ठेकेदार पर आरोप है कि उसने ड्राइवरों को मांगी गई राशि से कम बोनस दिया, जिससे हड़ताल शुरू हो गई। यात्रियों को लंबी प्रतीक्षा करनी पड़ी और दिवाली की खरीदारी करने वालों को विशेष रूप से वैकल्पिक परिवहन खोजना पड़ा।
