Oversized containers are repeatedly getting stuck at the Morwadi underpass on the Mumbai-Pune highway, causing significant traffic disruptions. Between February and October this year, seven to eight such incidents have occurred, with the latest on October 17 blocking a lane for hours. The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has struggled to implement a lasting solution, as frequently damaged height barriers fail to prevent taller vehicles from entering. This recurring issue inconveniences commuters and strains traffic police resources, highlighting a persistent infrastructure challenge.

मुंबई-पुणे हाईवे पर मोरवाड़ी अंडरपास में बड़े-बड़े कंटेनर बार-बार फंस रहे हैं, जिससे भारी ट्रैफिक जाम हो रहा है। इस साल फरवरी से अक्टूबर के बीच ऐसी सात से आठ घटनाएं हुई हैं। सबसे ताजा घटना 17 अक्टूबर को हुई, जिसमें एक लेन घंटों तक बंद रही। पिंपरी चिंचवड म्युनिसिपल कॉर्पोरेशन (PCMC) इस समस्या का कोई स्थायी समाधान निकालने में नाकाम रही है। बार-बार टूटने वाले हाइट बैरियर भी ऊंचे वाहनों को अंडरपास में जाने से नहीं रोक पा रहे हैं। इस लगातार हो रही समस्या से यात्रियों को दिक्कत हो रही है और ट्रैफिक पुलिस के संसाधनों पर भी दबाव पड़ रहा है। यह एक गंभीर इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर चुनौती को दर्शाता है।
