Authorities in India's Andhra Pradesh state are evacuating residents from low-lying coastal areas as Cyclone Murasu is set to make landfall. Approximately 2,000 people have been moved, with plans to evacuate up to 30,000 more. The severe cyclonic storm is expected to cross the coast with wind speeds of 100-110 km/h, potentially damaging thousands of electrical poles and impacting power supply. This follows Cyclone Arnab, which caused fatalities and destruction last week. Schools have been closed in affected regions.
