Ex-Minister Harish Rao Demands Pay Hike For Sanitation Workers

BRS MLA T Harish Rao has demanded a salary increase for Siddipet municipal sanitation workers, citing rising costs of living. He highlighted that their wages have not been revised by the current Congress government since they took office. Rao recalled that under the previous BRS administration, salaries had doubled from ₹8,300 to ₹16,600. He also advocated for extending the direct salary credit system to other municipal workers and resolving employee-related issues.

बीआरएस विधायक टी हरीश राव ने सिद्दीपेट नगर निगम के सफाई कर्मचारियों के लिए जीवन यापन की बढ़ती लागत का हवाला देते हुए वेतन वृद्धि की मांग की है। उन्होंने इस बात पर प्रकाश डाला कि वर्तमान कांग्रेस सरकार ने पदभार संभालने के बाद से उनके वेतन में कोई संशोधन नहीं किया है। राव ने याद दिलाया कि पिछली बीआरएस सरकार के दौरान, वेतन ₹8,300 से दोगुना होकर ₹16,600 हो गया था। उन्होंने अन्य नगर निगम कर्मचारियों के लिए प्रत्यक्ष वेतन जमा प्रणाली का विस्तार करने और कर्मचारियों से संबंधित मुद्दों को हल करने की भी वकालत की।
