The captaincy for Uttar Pradesh in the upcoming Ranji Trophy season is likely to be decided between Rinku Singh and Karan Sharma. The state selection panel, led by Praveen Kumar, will finalize the team and captain on Wednesday during the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association’s AGM in Kanpur. This decision comes as the team aims for a fresh start, having not won the title since 2005-06. Both players have strong first-class records, with Sharma scoring over 1000 runs and Singh accumulating over 3000 runs with a high average.
