Chennai Vaccinates Over One Lakh Stray Dogs

The Greater Chennai Corporation's 75-day anti-rabies vaccination drive has successfully vaccinated over one lakh stray dogs in the city since its launch. The civic body aims to vaccinate a total of two lakh stray dogs. In addition to rabies shots, the dogs are receiving medication for internal and external parasites. As of, 100,378 dogs have been vaccinated, with Ambattur recording the highest number of vaccinations. The campaign has expanded across multiple zones to control the stray dog population and prevent rabies transmission.
