Australia has launched an advanced wastewater treatment plant in Dubbo, New South Wales, capable of processing 700 megalitres annually. The $7.8 million facility uses a novel titanium-dioxide catalyst to break down stubborn pollutants like pesticides and hormones, potentially turning sewage effluent into a valuable recycled water source. This initiative aims to strengthen regional water security by providing a new water resource beyond traditional supplies.
