CJP Functionary Alleges Police Detained Him, Forced To Sign Undertaking

A CJP functionary from Alwar district has alleged that police detained him late Thursday night and forced him to sign an undertaking not to attend a protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. He claims police took him nearly 100 km away and threatened him and his family. However, police denied detaining or assaulting him, stating they had counselled him due to prohibitory orders in Delhi. The CJP has vowed to organise protests and pursue legal action.

अलवर जिले के एक CJP पदाधिकारी ने आरोप लगाया है कि पुलिस ने गुरुवार देर रात उन्हें डिटेन कर लिया और दिल्ली के जंतर मंतर में विरोध प्रदर्शन में शामिल न होने की अंडरटेकिंग पर साइन करवाए। उन्होंने दावा किया कि पुलिस उन्हें करीब 100 किमी दूर ले गई और उन्हें व उनके परिवार को धमकी दी। हालांकि, पुलिस ने उन्हें डिटेन करने या मारपीट करने से इनकार किया है और कहा है कि दिल्ली में निषेधाज्ञा के कारण उन्होंने उन्हें सलाह दी थी। CJP ने विरोध प्रदर्शन आयोजित करने और कानूनी कार्रवाई करने का संकल्प लिया है।
