The Telangana government has extended its 'instant pension' facility to additional categories of social security pension beneficiaries, including persons with disabilities, toddy tappers, handloom weavers, and families of individuals with dialysis-dependent conditions, HIV, and filariasis. Previously limited to wives of deceased old-age pensioners, the facility now ensures faster pension disbursement to eligible spouses. This move aims to prevent financial hardship for women who lose their husbands and ensure continued social security for dependent families. Applicants need to submit Aadhaar cards, bank passbook details, and death certificates to avail the benefit.

तेलंगाना सरकार ने सामाजिक सुरक्षा पेंशन लाभार्थियों की अतिरिक्त श्रेणियों, जिनमें दिव्यांगजन, ताड़ी निकालने वाले, हथकरघा बुनकर और डायलिसिस पर निर्भर, एचआईवी और फाइलेरिया से पीड़ित व्यक्तियों के परिवार शामिल हैं, के लिए 'इंस्टेंट पेंशन' सुविधा का विस्तार किया है। पहले यह सुविधा केवल वृद्ध पेंशनभोगियों की पत्नियों तक सीमित थी, लेकिन अब यह पात्र जीवनसाथियों को पेंशन का तेजी से वितरण सुनिश्चित करती है। इस कदम का उद्देश्य उन महिलाओं को वित्तीय कठिनाई से बचाना है जिनके पति का निधन हो गया है और आश्रित परिवारों के लिए सामाजिक सुरक्षा जारी रखना है। लाभ प्राप्त करने के लिए आवेदकों को आधार कार्ड, बैंक पासबुक विवरण और मृत्यु प्रमाण पत्र जमा करने होंगे।
