US Green Card Crackdown on IT Giants Criticized by Vivek Wadhwa

Times of India - India · india

Indian-American entrepreneur Vivek Wadhwa has strongly criticized the US administration's suspension of the PERM program for eight major IT companies, including Microsoft, Infosys, and TCS. Wadhwa argued that these established companies are not the visa abusers, but rather the 'IT body shops' that exploit the system. He stated that America is turning away highly skilled immigrants, calling it a "free lunch" being squandered. The suspension prevents H-1B visa holders in these companies from pursuing Green Cards.
