Mumbai Sion Hospital Resident Doctor Dies By Suicide; Found With Medical Device

A first-year resident doctor at Mumbai's Sion Hospital was found dead by suicide in his hostel bathroom on Saturday evening. The surgery resident, identified as Dr Shivsharan Patil from Karnataka, had reportedly complained of a heavy workload previously. Hospital authorities stated that while workload complaints had been made, they had decreased recently. Dr Patil was discovered with an injectable medical device, and police have not yet confirmed the existence of a suicide note. The hospital has contacted his family, and his body will be released after a postmortem examination.
