Jaipur-Santragachi Express Flagged Off, Boosting East-West Rail Connectivity

Union Railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has flagged off a new express train connecting Jaipur's Khatipura with Santragachi, a suburb near Kolkata. This service significantly strengthens rail connectivity between Rajasthan and eastern India, passing through Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand. The train aims to provide an additional travel option for passengers for education, employment, business, and tourism. It is also expected to promote trade, tourism, and cultural exchanges between the two regions, supplementing existing rail links.

केंद्रीय रेल मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने जयपुर के खातीपुरा को कोलकाता के पास एक उपनगर संतरागाछी से जोड़ने वाली एक नई एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन को हरी झंडी दिखाकर रवाना किया। यह सेवा उत्तर प्रदेश, बिहार और झारखंड से होकर गुजरते हुए राजस्थान और पूर्वी भारत के बीच रेल संपर्क को काफी मजबूत करती है। ट्रेन का उद्देश्य शिक्षा, रोजगार, व्यवसाय और पर्यटन के लिए यात्रियों को एक अतिरिक्त यात्रा विकल्प प्रदान करना है। यह मौजूदा रेल लिंक के पूरक के रूप में दोनों क्षेत्रों के बीच व्यापार, पर्यटन और सांस्कृतिक आदान-प्रदान को भी बढ़ावा देने की उम्मीद है।
