In Karnataka, over 99% of hearings related to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls have been completed, with only 19,365 pending. Kalaburagi district has the highest number of pending hearings, while Gadag has the fewest. The Chief Electoral Officer’s office also stated that a Form-7, used for objections or deletions, is automatically generated for every Form-8 application seeking a change of residence. Between June 16 and October 15, over 12.79 lakh Form-8 applications were received.

कर्नाटक में चुनावी रोल के स्पेशल इंटेंसिव रिवीजन (SIR) से जुड़ी 99% से ज़्यादा सुनवाई पूरी हो चुकी है, और सिर्फ 19,365 मामले बाकी हैं। सबसे ज़्यादा लंबित सुनवाई कलबुर्गी ज़िले में हैं, जबकि गदग में सबसे कम। मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी के दफ़्तर ने यह भी बताया कि निवास बदलने के लिए फॉर्म-8 आवेदन के हर मामले के लिए, आपत्तियों या नाम हटाने के लिए इस्तेमाल होने वाला फॉर्म-7 अपने आप बन जाता है। 16 जून से 15 अक्टूबर के बीच, 12.79 लाख से ज़्यादा फॉर्म-8 आवेदन मिले थे।
