Actor and comedian Russell Brand has been found guilty of raping one woman and sexually assaulting three others. A jury at Southwark Crown Court deliberated for over eight hours before reaching the verdict on Thursday. Judge Joel Bennathan stated that Brand would inevitably receive a significant custodial sentence and remanded him into custody. The allegations made by six women spanned a decade between 1999 and 2009. Brand, who pleaded not guilty, testified that he had a promiscuous past but never forced anyone against their will.
