Crude oil prices have seen a significant drop, with Brent futures falling below $98 and WTI near $89. This decline is attributed to diplomatic efforts and early signs of Saudi supply recovery, which unwound the premium built by conflict escalation. Physical tightness indicators, like the EFP and Brent backwardation, surged earlier but have since eased. The restart of Saudi Arabia's East-West pipeline, rerouting millions of barrels per day, is a key factor.
