Fake Rabies Vaccines Seized in Delhi

Delhi's Bhagirath Palace saw a raid where 481 units of suspected fake rabies vaccines were seized, valued at approximately ₹2 lakh. The operation, conducted by the Drugs Control Department, uncovered a connection to an agency in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The manufacturer, Human Biologicals Institute, denied issuing the batch. Health Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh vowed strict action under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940, extending the investigation beyond Delhi to suppliers in other states.
