SML Ltd Considers IPO in 2-3 Years

Agri-inputs maker SML Ltd is evaluating a stock market listing within the next two to three years to fund the development of new chemical entities. The debt-free company, formerly Sulphur India Limited, expects more clarity on the timeline in one to two years. SML is among Indian firms developing proprietary new molecules, with one expected soon. Bringing a single new chemical entity to market can cost USD 70-80 million.
