IIT Alumnus Clears UPSC While Working at Google

Piyush Kapoor, an IIT alumnus and Google Staff Software Engineer in Silicon Valley, secured All India Rank 402 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025. He achieved this remarkable feat on his fifth attempt while working full-time, preparing for the exam from the US with a significant time difference. Kapoor dedicated two to three hours on weekdays and 13 to 14 hours on weekends to his studies. His motivation stemmed from a desire to transition from building technology products to contributing to public service and nation-building.

सिलिकॉन वैली में गूगल में सॉफ्टवेयर इंजीनियर और IIT के पूर्व छात्र पीयूष कपूर ने UPSC सिविल सेवा परीक्षा 2025 में ऑल इंडिया रैंक 402 हासिल की। यह कमाल उन्होंने पांचवें प्रयास में किया, वो भी अमेरिका से फुल-टाइम नौकरी करते हुए। पीयूष हफ्ते में 2-3 घंटे और वीकेंड पर 13-14 घंटे पढ़ाई करते थे। उनका लक्ष्य टेक्नोलॉजी से हटकर देश सेवा करना था।
