Congress Leader Jayaram Ramesh Slams Govt Over Youth Protests, Delhi Fortification

Senior Congress leader Jayaram Ramesh has accused the central government of attempting to snatch the voting rights of ordinary citizens under Article 326 of the Constitution. He stated that the government is trying to suppress peaceful protests by worried youth, leading to heavy fortification of Delhi's streets with armed security personnel. Ramesh also criticized CEC Gyanesh Kumar, alleging he followed orders from the Prime Minister and Home Minister. He called for Kumar's resignation, deeming it a moral imperative for restoring the foundation of democracy.

कांग्रेस के वरिष्ठ नेता जयराम रमेश ने केंद्र सरकार पर संविधान के अनुच्छेद 326 के तहत आम नागरिकों के वोट देने के अधिकार छीनने की कोशिश करने का आरोप लगाया है। उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार चिंतित युवाओं के शांतिपूर्ण विरोध प्रदर्शनों को दबाने की कोशिश कर रही है, जिसके कारण दिल्ली की सड़कों पर सशस्त्र सुरक्षा कर्मियों के साथ भारी किलेबंदी की गई है। रमेश ने मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त (CEC) ज्ञानेश कुमार की भी आलोचना की और आरोप लगाया कि उन्होंने प्रधानमंत्री और गृह मंत्री के आदेशों का पालन किया। उन्होंने कुमार से इस्तीफे की मांग की, इसे लोकतंत्र की नींव बहाल करने के लिए एक नैतिक अनिवार्यता बताया।
