India's Pooja has secured a bronze medal in the women's high jump at the Asian Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. She registered a best jump of 1.84m to finish third in the final event. This marks India's first medal in women's high jump at the Asiad since Bobby Aloysius won silver in 2002. Pooja's achievement ends a 24-year wait for an Indian medal in this discipline.

भारत की पूजा ने जापान के आइची-नागोया में एशियन गेम्स 2026 में महिलाओं की हाई जंप में कांस्य पदक जीता है। उन्होंने फाइनल इवेंट में 1.84 मीटर की सर्वश्रेष्ठ छलांग लगाकर तीसरा स्थान हासिल किया। यह 2002 में बॉबी Aloysius के रजत पदक जीतने के बाद Asiad में महिलाओं की हाई जंप में भारत का पहला पदक है। पूजा की उपलब्धि ने इस अनुशासन में भारतीय पदक का 24 साल का इंतजार खत्म कर दिया है।
