Director-General of Prisons and Correctional Services Alok Kumar has urged inmates at Dharwad Central Prison to effectively utilize skill development and personality development programs. He inaugurated training sessions in vermicompost production and bag manufacturing, emphasizing that these opportunities can help inmates become responsible citizens. Kumar also highlighted facilities for well-behaved inmates and stressed the importance of discipline among staff. The visit included a review of administrative and security arrangements, alongside appreciation for inmate performances.

जेल और सुधार सेवाओं के महानिदेशक आलोक कुमार ने धारवाड़ केंद्रीय जेल के कैदियों से कौशल विकास और व्यक्तित्व विकास कार्यक्रमों का प्रभावी ढंग से उपयोग करने का आग्रह किया है। उन्होंने वर्मीकम्पोस्ट उत्पादन और बैग निर्माण में प्रशिक्षण सत्रों का उद्घाटन किया, इस बात पर जोर देते हुए कि ये अवसर कैदियों को जिम्मेदार नागरिक बनने में मदद कर सकते हैं। कुमार ने अच्छे व्यवहार वाले कैदियों के लिए सुविधाओं पर भी प्रकाश डाला और कर्मचारियों के बीच अनुशासन के महत्व पर जोर दिया। दौरे में प्रशासनिक और सुरक्षा व्यवस्थाओं की समीक्षा के साथ-साथ कैदियों के प्रदर्शन की सराहना भी शामिल थी।
