Haryana has successfully reformed its property registration system through digitisation and standardised templates, eliminating intermediaries and simplifying processes for citizens. Financial Commissioner Dr. Sumita Misra highlighted that this overhaul allows citizens to bypass middlemen by submitting details online, with revenue officials given a strict five-day clearance timeframe. Despite the enhanced ease of living, the state has maintained a robust stamp duty revenue growth of 9% to 10% annually. This demonstrates that citizen-centric reforms can effectively coexist with strong exchequer receipts.
