India's gem and jewellery exports reached $2.95 billion in September, marking a 9.43% year-on-year increase despite global trade uncertainties. Plain gold jewellery exports rose 8.76% to $378 million, while studded gold jewellery saw a significant 50.23% jump to $812.6 million. This growth was supported by improved market access through free trade agreements, reduced US tariffs, and strong performance in key markets like Hong Kong and France. However, exports of cut and polished diamonds declined by 5.44%, though lab-grown diamond exports surged by 40.72%.
