Following a stampede at the Chorbagan Durga Puja pandal that claimed 19 lives, the West Bengal Fire and Emergency Services Department has issued notices to three prominent South Kolkata Durga Puja committees for lapses in fire safety measures. Notices were sent to Chetla Agrani, Ballygunge Cultural Association, and Tridhara Sammilani after a high-level team found deficiencies in safety arrangements during inspections. Fire officials also directed the immediate removal of unauthorized temporary commercial structures and hazardous stalls near pandals, citing concerns over LPG cylinders being kept near highly flammable materials.

चोरबाগান दुर्गा पूजा पंडाल में भगदड़ में 19 लोगों की मौत के बाद, पश्चिम बंगाल फायर एंड इमरजेंसी सर्विसेज डिपार्टमेंट ने आग से सुरक्षा के उपायों में कमी के लिए दक्षिण कोलकाता की तीन प्रमुख दुर्गा पूजा समितियों को नोटिस जारी किए हैं। चेतला अग्रनी, बालीवुडगंज कल्चरल एसोसिएशन और त्रिधारा सम्मिलानी को ये नोटिस भेजे गए, जब एक उच्च-स्तरीय टीम ने निरीक्षण के दौरान सुरक्षा व्यवस्था में कमियां पाईं। अग्निशमन अधिकारियों ने एलपीजी सिलेंडरों को अत्यधिक ज्वलनशील सामग्री के पास रखे जाने की चिंताओं का हवाला देते हुए, पंडालों के पास अनधिकृत अस्थायी व्यावसायिक ढांचों और खतरनाक स्टालों को तत्काल हटाने का भी निर्देश दिया।
