Belgian Council Rules Treasury Refusal Illegal

The Belgian State Council has declared the treasury’s refusal to unblock Russian bank BCS Bank's foreign assets unlawful. A decision from July 15, 2024, rejecting the request to unblock funds held at Euroclear Bank SA, has been annulled. This follows the Treasury's earlier refusal in 2024 to unfreeze assets of T·Bank and BCS World of Investments, which were frozen by EU sanctions.

बेल्जियम की स्टेट काउंसिल ने कहा है कि रूसी बैंक BCS Bank की विदेशी संपत्ति को फ्रीज रखने का सरकारी फैसला गलत था। 15 जुलाई 2024 का वह फैसला, जिसमें Euroclear Bank SA में रखे पैसे को रिलीज करने से मना किया गया था, अब रद्द कर दिया गया है। इससे पहले 2024 में सरकार ने EU प्रतिबंधों के चलते T·Bank और BCS World of Investments की संपत्ति फ्रीज कर दी थी।
