As many as 1,65,828 candidates appeared for the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission's preliminary exam on Sunday. The exam aims to fill 46 vacancies for posts like deputy collector and deputy superintendent of police. Candidates found the paper moderately difficult and time-consuming, noting the absence of recent current affairs, budget, or scheme-related questions. The examination, worth 300 marks, includes general studies and mental ability sections, with shortlisted candidates advancing to the mains examination in a 1:20 ratio.

रविवार को तमिलनाडु पब्लिक सर्विस कमीशन की प्रारंभिक परीक्षा में कुल 1,65,828 उम्मीदवारों ने भाग लिया। इस परीक्षा का मकसद डिप्टी कलेक्टर और डिप्टी सुपरिटेंडेंट ऑफ पुलिस जैसे पदों के लिए 46 रिक्तियों को भरना है। उम्मीदवारों ने पेपर को मध्यम रूप से कठिन और समय लेने वाला बताया, साथ ही हाल के करंट अफेयर्स, बजट या स्कीम से जुड़े सवालों के न होने पर भी ध्यान दिया। 300 अंकों की इस परीक्षा में जनरल स्टडीज और मेंटल एबिलिटी सेक्शन शामिल हैं, जिसमें शॉर्टलिस्ट किए गए उम्मीदवारों को 1:20 के अनुपात में मुख्य परीक्षा के लिए आगे बढ़ाया जाएगा।
