होरमुज़ जलडमरूमध्य में दो यूएई तेल टैंकरों पर ईरानी मिसाइलों से हमला हुआ। इसमें एक भारतीय नागरिक की मौत हो गई और आठ लोग घायल हो गए। यूएई ने इस हमले की कड़ी निंदा की है और सख्त कार्रवाई की बात कही है। ईरान का कहना है कि जहाजों ने चेतावनी को नज़रअंदाज़ किया और नेविगेशन सिस्टम बंद कर दिए थे। यह घटना अमेरिका-ईरान तनाव के बीच हुई।
