The Indian rupee closed almost flat, losing just 3 paise to settle at 95.94 against the US dollar. It pared initial losses, supported by a slight fall in the dollar index and crude oil prices. However, the rupee remained under pressure due to foreign fund outflows and global trade uncertainties, including potential US tariffs on Russian oil imports. Indian shares ended mixed, with the NSE Nifty 50 gaining 53.00 points to 23,270.
