Russia to Build 14 More Icebreakers by 2030

Russia intends to construct an additional 14 icebreakers by the year 2030. This expansion of its icebreaker fleet is expected to significantly enhance the popularity and utilization of the NSR in the Arctic. The plan was revealed by the Executive Secretary of the Eastern Economic Forum Organizing Committee.
