Jharkhand to Open 12 Shakti Sadans for Women in Distress

Jharkhand is set to open 12 Shakti Sadans across the state to provide long-term shelter, care, and rehabilitation for women facing distress. These facilities, part of the Centre's Mission Shakti initiative, will accommodate up to 50 women each, including those who have survived domestic violence or trafficking and lack family support. Unlike short-term emergency centres, Shakti Sadans will offer extended stays of up to three years, with possibilities for further extensions. Residents will receive essential support, vocational training, and assistance with financial and legal matters to promote self-sufficiency.

झारखंड में संकटग्रस्त महिलाओं के लिए खुलेंगे 12 शक्ति सदन सभी सुविधाओं से लैस होंगे ये केंद्र

झारखंड राज्य में संकटग्रस्त महिलाओं को लंबे समय तक आश्रय, देखभाल और पुनर्वास देने के लिए 12 शक्ति सदन खोले जा रहे हैं। ये केंद्र केंद्र सरकार की मिशन शक्ति पहल का हिस्सा हैं और हर एक में 50 महिलाओं तक को रखा जा सकेगा। इनमें वे महिलाएं भी शामिल होंगी जो घरेलू हिंसा या तस्करी की शिकार हुई हैं और जिनके पास परिवार का सहारा नहीं है। ये शक्ति सदन सिर्फ आपातकालीन केंद्रों की तरह नहीं होंगे, बल्कि यहां महिलाएं 3 साल तक रह सकेंगी और जरूरत पड़ने पर इस अवधि को बढ़ाया भी जा सकेगा। यहां रहने वाली महिलाओं को जरूरी सहायता, वोकेशनल ट्रेनिंग और आर्थिक व कानूनी मामलों में मदद दी जाएगी ताकि वे आत्मनिर्भर बन सकें।
