Pune Municipal Corporation Cracks Down On Illegal Firecracker Stalls Ahead Of Diwali

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has initiated action against unauthorised firecracker stalls operating on footpaths, roads, and in densely populated areas ahead of Diwali. This move follows a warning from the disaster management department about fire risks and potential loss of life at outlets lacking fire safety compliance. The civic body had permitted 184 stalls at designated locations, but numerous unauthorised ones have emerged across the city. The PMC is now conducting joint drives to enforce regulations and ensure vendor safety.

दिवाली से पहले पुणे नगर निगम (PMC) ने फुटपाथों, सड़कों और घनी आबादी वाले इलाकों में अवैध रूप से चल रहे पटाखा ठेलों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई शुरू कर दी है। यह कदम आपदा प्रबंधन विभाग की ओर से आग के खतरों और आग सुरक्षा अनुपालन की कमी वाले आउटलेट्स पर जीवन के संभावित नुकसान के बारे में चेतावनी के बाद उठाया गया है। नागरिक निकाय ने निर्धारित स्थानों पर 184 स्टॉल की अनुमति दी थी, लेकिन शहर भर में कई अनधिकृत स्टॉल सामने आए हैं। PMC अब नियमों को लागू करने और विक्रेताओं की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए संयुक्त अभियान चला रहा है।
