Police in Lucknow conducted a major raid on Cafe Tales, detaining 42 individuals found smoking hookah. The operation followed a recent clarification by the Allahabad High Court that restaurants cannot prepare or serve hookah, even in designated smoking zones. Operators of the cafe reportedly fled the scene through a rear passage during the raid. Authorities recovered multiple hookahs, flavours, and other related items. Proceedings have been initiated under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act.

लखनऊ में पुलिस ने कैफे टेल्स पर एक बड़ा छापा मारा, जहाँ हुक्का पीते हुए 42 लोगों को हिरासत में लिया गया। यह कार्रवाई इलाहाबाद हाई कोर्ट द्वारा हाल ही में दिए गए इस स्पष्टीकरण के बाद हुई कि रेस्तरां, धूम्रपान के लिए निर्धारित क्षेत्रों में भी हुक्का तैयार या परोस नहीं सकते। छापे के दौरान कैफे के संचालक कथित तौर पर पिछले रास्ते से भाग निकले। पुलिस ने कई हुक्के, फ्लेवर और अन्य संबंधित सामान बरामद किए। भारतीय न्याय संहिता और सिगरेट और अन्य तम्बाकू उत्पाद अधिनियम की संबंधित धाराओं के तहत कार्रवाई शुरू की गई है।
