A school principal in Phalodi has been suspended by the education department after a video surfaced on social media allegedly showing him assaulting a Class 7 girl. The video purportedly shows Mahatma Gandhi Govt School principal Shrawan Bhargav hitting the student for failing to read, grabbing her hair, and spinning her. Villagers claim the department only acted after they threatened to file a police complaint, stating the incident occurred days before the video emerged. Principal Bhargav had previously denied the allegations, calling the video AI-generated.
