Alaska Park Replaces Fuel Site With Trails

Lake Clark National Park and Preserve in Alaska has transformed a former fuel-tank farm into public space. A conservation crew spent 10 weeks restoring approximately 15,000 square yards, adding new trails, vegetation, and a parking area. This project aims to improve visitor safety and access as park visitation has significantly increased. The initiative also provided young adults with practical experience in construction and land restoration, preparing the park for a busier future.

अलास्का के लेक क्लार्क नेशनल पार्क एंड प्रिजर्व ने एक पुरानी फ्यूल-टैंक फार्म को जनता के लिए खोल दिया है। एक टीम ने 10 हफ्तों में करीब 15,000 वर्ग गज की जगह को ठीक किया। यहाँ नए रास्ते, पेड़-पौधे और पार्किंग की जगह बनाई गई है। पार्क में आने वाले लोगों की संख्या बढ़ने से सुरक्षा और पहुँच बेहतर करने का लक्ष्य है। इससे युवाओं को निर्माण और ज़मीन सुधार का अनुभव भी मिला।
