A 61-year-old autorickshaw driver from Chennai's Vyasarpadi died by suicide on Saturday night, reportedly due to financial distress and mounting debts. A video found on his phone revealed his struggles and included an appeal to the government to revise meter fares. His son discovered his body after repeated knocks went unanswered. The deceased, Mohammed Ibrahim, was identified by police, and his body was sent for a postmortem examination. The video has since circulated widely among auto drivers.

चेन्नई के व्यासर्पाडी के रहने वाले 61 वर्षीय ऑटो रिक्शा चालक ने शनिवार रात को कथित तौर पर आर्थिक तंगी और बढ़ते कर्ज के कारण आत्महत्या कर ली। उनके फोन पर मिले एक वीडियो में उनकी परेशानियों का खुलासा हुआ और इसमें सरकार से मीटर किराए में संशोधन की अपील भी की गई थी। बार-बार दस्तक देने पर जवाब न मिलने पर उनके बेटे ने उनका शव खोजा। पुलिस ने मृतक मोहम्मद इब्राहिम की पहचान की और शव को पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेज दिया। यह वीडियो तब से ऑटो चालकों के बीच काफी वायरल हो रहा है।
