Bihar CM Asks Income Tax Payers To Voluntarily Surrender Free Electricity

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has appealed to individuals who pay income tax to voluntarily give up their entitlement to free electricity. The government currently provides 125 units of free electricity to all consumers, irrespective of their economic status. This initiative aims to encourage those who can afford it to forgo the subsidy, potentially allowing resources to be redirected. The Chief Minister urged taxpayers to consider this step to support the state's resource management efforts.

बिहार के मुख्यमंत्री नीतीश कुमार ने इनकम टैक्स देने वाले लोगों से अपील की है कि वे स्वेच्छा से मुफ्त बिजली का अपना हक छोड़ दें। सरकार फिलहाल सभी उपभोक्ताओं को, उनकी आर्थिक स्थिति की परवाह किए बिना, 125 यूनिट मुफ्त बिजली दे रही है। इस पहल का मकसद उन लोगों को सब्सिडी छोड़ने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करना है जो इसका खर्च उठा सकते हैं, ताकि संसाधनों को कहीं और इस्तेमाल किया जा सके। मुख्यमंत्री ने करदाताओं से राज्य के संसाधन प्रबंधन के प्रयासों का समर्थन करने के लिए इस कदम पर विचार करने का आग्रह किया है।
