India has emerged as Europe's third-largest arms exporter, driven by increased demand following Russia's invasion of Ukraine. In the last fiscal year, India exported defense goods worth ₹38,424 crore, with a significant surge in ammunition and explosives supplied to European buyers. This growth is attributed to European nations strengthening their military capabilities and depleting old stocks. The 'Make in India' initiative has boosted domestic production, enabling both government and private companies to meet export demands. India is now exporting artillery and missile systems to over 80 countries globally.
