Actor Upasana Singh has taken over as the president of the Cine and TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) following a court ruling that favoured her faction. Her committee assumed charge on October 27, ending a prolonged leadership dispute. Singh alleges that fixed deposits totaling ₹73 lakh belonging to CINTAA were broken and transferred to another account. Member welfare and the recovery of these funds are now top priorities for the new leadership. The court also issued a contempt notice to the rival faction for allegedly violating earlier directions.
