Indian Corporate Credit Profile Remained Strong in H1 FY27 Despite West Asia War: Ind-Ra

Business Standard · business

Indian companies' credit profiles remained robust in the first half of FY27, even with the West Asia conflict causing an energy shock, according to rating agency Ind-Ra. Despite initial concerns, corporate India's balance sheet strength proved resilient, with only a few issuers experiencing rating downgrades due to the conflict. The upgrade-to-downgrade ratio remained stable, indicating that most companies absorbed the shock effectively. Supportive domestic policies, government measures on fuel prices, and strong investment demand further bolstered corporate performance and financing conditions.
