Sebi To Issue Closing Auction Guidelines In About A Week

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) is set to release guidelines for the Closing Auction Session (CAS) within a week, following review of over 20,000 comments. Chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey announced this, also noting Sebi's efforts to simplify digital market access for non-residents. The regulator is also exploring a graded compliance framework for stockbrokers and aims to bring tender offers and buybacks under an interoperability framework by November end. Additionally, Sebi will soon issue guidelines for the responsible use of AI and machine learning in capital markets.
