Talks between Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) management and employees' Joint Action Committee (JAC) have failed over the proposed private operation of 1,450 electric buses. Unions are demanding the cancellation of tenders, citing threats to the corporation's future and job security. They allege the management invited tenders unilaterally, contrary to previous assurances. The JAC also demanded recruitment for 15,000 vacant posts and the reopening of four closed depots. Employees protested by wearing black badges, and the JAC will decide further action.
