Ex-officials demand Census data confidentiality

Former officials are urging that Census data must remain confidential due to concerns about potential links to the NPR and NRC. Historical records from 1951 indicate that an NRC was prepared nationwide by copying Census data. While this nationwide NRC was never published, it was implemented in undivided Assam, which then included Manipur and Tripura.
