Bus Driver Killed, 12 Passengers Injured in NH-48 Truck Collision

A bus driver was killed and 12 passengers were seriously injured in a road accident on NH-48 near Sankeshwar, Hukkeri taluk. The NEKRTC bus, traveling from Gangavati to Kolhapur, rammed into the rear of a tipper truck late Thursday night. The driver, Sangappa Talwar, 38, died at the scene. Injured passengers were initially taken to Sankeshwar taluk hospital, with critical cases transferred to Belagavi District Hospital. Sankeshwar police are investigating the incident.
