An alleged accidental gunshot death in Lonavala has been reclassified as murder, leading to the arrest of an 83-year-old man and four others. The victim, Abhay Manik Marathe, was initially reported to have died when his grandfather's licensed rifle discharged during cleaning at a hotel. However, police found no tattooing marks around the wound and discovered bloodstains inside the hotel, suggesting he was shot there. A property dispute between the victim and his grandfather, Motiram Rawoji Marathe, is believed to be the motive.
