Pune district is bracing for thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, light to moderate rainfall, and gusty winds of 30-40 kmph between October 16 and 18. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for these conditions, with the city's ghat areas specifically alerted for October 16 and 17. This forecast follows a dry spell and rising temperatures after the monsoon's withdrawal. Several other Maharashtra districts, including Kolhapur, Solapur, and Satara, are also under similar yellow alerts during this period.

पुणे जिले में 16 से 18 अक्टूबर के बीच गरज के साथ बिजली चमकने, हल्की से मध्यम बारिश और 30-40 किमी प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार से तेज हवाएं चलने की आशंका है। भारत मौसम विज्ञान विभाग (IMD) ने इन परिस्थितियों के लिए येलो अलर्ट जारी किया है, जिसमें शहर के घाट इलाकों को विशेष रूप से 16 और 17 अक्टूबर के लिए सतर्क किया गया है। यह पूर्वानुमान मानसून की वापसी के बाद शुष्क मौसम और बढ़ते तापमान के बाद आया है। कोल्हापुर, सोलापुर और सतारा सहित महाराष्ट्र के कई अन्य जिलों को भी इस अवधि के दौरान इसी तरह के येलो अलर्ट के तहत रखा गया है।
