Bengal Animal Rights Activists Meet Minister on Stray Dog Welfare and Feeder Protection

Representatives from the West Bengal Animal Rights Activists Front met with Urban Development Minister Agnimitra Paul to discuss the welfare of community animals and the harassment faced by feeders. The group presented proposals covering animal welfare, sterilization, vaccination, and protection against cruelty. They emphasized their focus on practical implementation and clarified they were not seeking financial aid. The meeting aimed to address issues arising from Supreme Court directions on stray dogs and ongoing incidents of animal poisoning and feeder intimidation.

पश्चिम बंगाल पशु अधिकार कार्यकर्ता फ्रंट के प्रतिनिधियों ने शहरी विकास मंत्री अग्निमित्रा पॉल से सामुदायिक पशुओं के कल्याण और खाना खिलाने वालों को हो रही परेशानी पर चर्चा की। समूह ने पशु कल्याण, नसबंदी, टीकाकरण और क्रूरता से सुरक्षा को लेकर प्रस्ताव पेश किए। उन्होंने व्यावहारिक कार्यान्वयन पर जोर दिया और स्पष्ट किया कि वे वित्तीय सहायता नहीं मांग रहे हैं। इस बैठक का उद्देश्य आवारा कुत्तों पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट के निर्देशों और पशुओं को जहर देने तथा खाना खिलाने वालों को धमकाने की मौजूदा घटनाओं से उत्पन्न मुद्दों का समाधान करना था।
