Delhi Police sought an extension of judicial custody for CJP spokesperson Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, but the magistrate court has reserved its order. The two were presented before a Special Executive Magistrate, following their arrest after a protest at Jantar Mantar. They are accused of trespassing into the Jantar Mantar site after it was removed from the list of designated protest venues. Previously, they were sent to five days of judicial custody.
