India has purchased the costliest LNG in years due to disruptions in global supplies, reportedly exacerbated by the US-Iran conflict. Gail India Ltd., a state-run gas company, recently paid over $23 per million British thermal units for a September delivery cargo. This surge in prices highlights the vulnerability of India's energy imports to international geopolitical events and supply chain.

दुनिया भर में सप्लाई में दिक्कत की वजह से भारत ने सालों में सबसे महंगा LNG खरीदा है। कहते हैं कि अमेरिका-ईरान के झगड़े से ये दिक्कतें और बढ़ गई हैं। सरकारी कंपनी Gail India Ltd. ने हाल ही में सितंबर की डिलीवरी के लिए 23 डॉलर प्रति मिलियन ब्रिटिश थर्मल यूनिट से ज़्यादा दाम दिए हैं। यह महंगाई दिखाती है कि भारत का एनर्जी इंपोर्ट अंतरराष्ट्रीय भू-राजनीतिक घटनाओं और सप्लाई चेन के प्रति कितना संवेदनशील है।
