Full Body Scanners Mandated At 8 Indian Airports; Trials Underway
Times of India · india
Full body scanners have been mandated for installation at eight Indian airports, with trials currently underway at Bengaluru and Kochi. BCAS is collecting data from these trials to refine the scanner algorithms. Officials have dismissed privacy concerns, stating the scanners will be "image agnostic" and display only a generic model of a person. This move aims to enhance security measures within Indian aviation, following several past delays.
